LOG BOOK SERVICING
All records of your vehicle service and repairs are kept on File, so we can recommend periodical maintenance as it becomes due.
TYRES, WHEEL BALANCING & WHEEL ALIGNMENT
We can supply quality tyres at competitive prices. We have onsite fitting equipment including our computer wheel aligner and computer wheel balancer.
BRAKES
During regular service, or as separate job, we will check the condition of the brake pads, rotors, shoes, drums, brake-cylinders, pipes, flex hoses and check the condition of the brake fluid. We have all brake equipment onsite.
TIMING BELT REPLACEMENTS
We recommend to replace timing belts at the manufacturers required mileage. Timing belt failure can cause serious damage to a vehicles engine. Don’t take chances as it can be quite costly.
CLUTCH REPLACEMENTS
Clutch shudder or slipping? You could be due for a clutch replacement. A short road test and adjustment check will quickly confirm this. “Exedy” is our choice of clutches. We can supply
and fit a “standard”,” heavy duty” or “performance” clutch, to suit your vehicle and driving preferences.
RADIATORS AND COOLING SYSTEM
For vehicle reliability it is important to keep your cooling system well maintained and clean. Engine failure is often caused by the cooling system overheating. Hoses and belts do have a limited service life, and most manufacturers recommend regular coolant changes.

SHOCK ABSORBERS & SUSPENSION
The Shock absorbers main functions are passenger omfort and safety Worn or leaking shock absorbers will effect both of these.
Worn shock absorbers can add as much as 20% to your stopping distance! That’s the sort of fault that can be fatal and requires immediate attention.

ROAD WORTHY CERTIFICATES / SAFETY CERTIFICATES
Pete’s Garage is an “Approved Inspection Station” and can issue a Road Worthy Certificate/Safety Certificate for your vehicle. (Depending on your vehicle meeting Queensland Transport Department standards).
A “Safety Certificate” covers a basic vehicle safety inspection; it is not a pre-purchase check and should not be relied on as such. It covers items such as: Tyres, brakes, lights, seat belts,
suspension, body-rust, windscreen and basic safety items. It will not necessarily tell you if the vehicle has been well looked after and is mechanically sound.
PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTIONS
If you are looking to buy a second hand vehicle, definitely have a pre-purchase inspection before purchasing or placing a deposit on the vehicle. We are able to do a thorough, in depth inspection of the vehicle and also check maintenance records. This guarantees peace of mind before purchasing your new vehicle
